How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HGV Class 2 Driver | Poole | £30,000 Basic | £38,000 OTE

    HGV Class 2 Driver roles like this do not come up often in Upton. This position offers a fixed weekly route, long-term job security, and the chance to increase your earnings through uncapped commission, all while dealing with the same customers week in, week out.

    As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will enjoy a role that gives you independence on the road, consistency in your working pattern, and the opportunity to build genuine customer relationships that directly impact your take-home pay.

    As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will benefit from:

    Guaranteed basic salary with secure, long-term employment
    Average subsistence allowance of £4,126.92 per year
    1 percent uncapped commission on all sales taken directly from the lorry, calculated pre VAT
    Fixed weekly routes with regular customers
    Structured working pattern of two weeks Monday to Thursday, followed by one week Sunday to Thursday
    Two-week Christmas shutdown
    High level of autonomy and responsibility in your day-to-day role
    As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

    Driving a Class 2 vehicle on a set weekly route to established customer sites
    Selling products directly from the lorry to existing customers
    Building long-term customer relationships to maximise repeat business and sales
    Handling orders, payments, and basic sales administration accurately
    Representing the business professionally at all customer locations
    As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your experience will include:

    Holding a valid HGV Class 2 licence
    Previous experience in a driving role with regular customer interaction
    Confidence in upselling and identifying sales opportunities
    Strong time management and organisational skills
    A reliable, self-motivated approach to working independently
