How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Plumbing & Gas Tutor
    Location: Bristol
    Contract Type: Permanent
    Hours: Full Time - 35 hours per week
    Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

    The Role

    A specialist apprenticeship training provider is seeking a Plumbing & Gas Tutor to support the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship training across Plumbing, Gas, and Renewable technologies.

    This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional looking to move into education while maintaining a strong practical focus. You will support apprentices through both practical and theoretical learning, helping them progress towards successful completion of their qualifications and End Point Assessments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver training and assessment to Plumbing & Gas apprentices
    Support learners preparing for End Point Assessment (EPA)
    Monitor learner progress and complete regular reviews with employers and apprentices
    Maintain accurate learner tracking and Off the Job training records
    Support learners' personal development and progression
    Promote safe working practices and professional behaviours
    Act as a positive role model within the training environment

    What We're Looking For

    Essential:

    NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing & Heating
    Minimum 2 years' industry experience within Plumbing & Heating
    Strong communication and organisational skills
    Flexible and adaptable approach
    Willingness to complete mandatory training
