How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Position: CMM Quality Inspector

    Location: Gloucester

    Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

    Shift: Double Day Shift (Earlies/Lates)

    Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 DOE

    An established and growing precision engineering business is seeking a CMM Quality Inspector to join their quality team on a double day shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CMM Quality Inspector who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong focus on accuracy, standards, and continuous improvement.

    Role Responsibilities:

    Carry out inspection of machined components using CMM and manual measuring equipment

    Program and operate CMM machines

    Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure product compliance

    Complete first-off, in-process, and final inspections

    Record and report inspection results, highlighting any non-conformances

    Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues

    Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards

    Ensure all inspection activities are completed in line with company and industry standards

    The Person:

    Proven experience as a CMM Quality Inspector within a manufacturing/engineering environment

    Experience using CMM software (e.g. PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS, Aberlink or similar)

    Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

    Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

    Flexible to work a double day shift pattern
