How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant

    Location: MK42 Area, must be willing to travel

    Job Type: Full-Time, long-term, permanent

    Salary: 92.63- 120 per day

    We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment in the MK42 area. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND/SEMH needs.
    Support students with ASD, ADHD, behavioural challenges, and additional learning needs.
    Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
    Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
    Implement behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation support.
    Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
    Support pupils with social interaction, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
    Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
    Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities.
    Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times.
    Requirements

    Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
    Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour is desirable.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to supporting learners.
    Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within education.
    Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
    Relevant qualifications or training in education/support work are advantageous.
