How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Immediate Start – Children’s Social Worker | Suffolk Council 🚨
    📍 Ipswich / Bury St Edmunds – Hybrid Working
    💰 £300 Per Day
    🕒 37 Hours Per Week | Condensed 4-Day Week Available
    📅 3 Month Contract + Possible Extension

    Suffolk Council is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Social Care Team supporting Child in Need, Looked After Children, Child Assessment, and Support & Prevention services.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled frontline practitioner looking for a hybrid role with flexibility, supportive management, and meaningful casework.

    🔹 The Role:
    • Manage a complex caseload of children and families
    • Undertake Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children work
    • Complete assessments of risk and need
    • Lead Section 47 investigations and safeguarding interventions
    • Develop and implement care and support plans
    • Work closely with schools, health professionals, police, and partner agencies
    • Produce high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation
    • Contribute to reflective practice and team development

    ✅ Essential Requirements:
    ✔ Qualified Social Worker
    ✔ Social Work England Registration
    ✔ Recent Children’s Social Care experience within a Local Authority
    ✔ Strong safeguarding and assessment experience
    ✔ Ability to manage complex caseloads effectively
    ✔ Experience within CIN, CP, LAC, Assessment or Support & Prevention teams
