How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for a new Quantity Surveyor to add value and bring professionalism and experience to the team. Coordinating the surveyor’s functions within the team & meeting management objectives. Compliance with NEC suite of Contracts.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND SERVICE STANDARDS AS A QUANTITY SURVEYOR
    * Monitoring of costs & maximising value on schemes
    * Preconstruction Works
    * Previous Target Cost Experience
    * Term Service Contract Experience using SOR to produce Task Quotations
    * Preparation of cost/value information
    * Accurate forecast for management accounts
    * Monthly review of accounts
    * Financial assessments through to final agreement
    * Assisting with procurement and other preconstruction activities
    * Experienced user of EXCEL and CEMAR
    * Keeping to all deadlines agreed
    * Consistently working at a level to achieve the tasks required
    * All correspondence acknowledged or actioned within a reasonable period
    * All reports submitted within 1 day of close of reporting period
    * Attend site visits to review progress, measure works, and assess risks
    * Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with specifications and RAMS

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    * BSc Quantity Surveying
    * RICS or HND
    * At least 5 years’ experience in the Construction Industry working under NEC conditions of contract
