How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Vehicle Technician

    Location: Epsom
    Salary: £36,000 Basic | £44,000 OTE | Top Earners £60,000+

    Role Purpose

    The Vehicle Technician is responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to the highest standards, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a busy dealership environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles

    * Diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment

    * Complete warranty and repair work in line with manufacturer standards

    * Perform vehicle health checks and report additional work required

    * Ensure all work is completed efficiently and accurately within allocated times

    * Maintain accurate job card and service documentation

    * Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times

    * Support colleagues and contribute to a positive workshop environment

    * Keep up to date with manufacturer training and technical updates

    Requirements

    * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

    * Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic within a dealership or independent garage

    * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

    * MOT Licence beneficial but not essential

    * Full UK Driving Licence

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    * Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
