How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

MEP Divisional Lead | Mission Critical & Technical Projects

    💼 £100,000 – £140,000 + Executive Package
    📍 M4 Corridor
    🏗️ Construction | MEP | Data Centres | Energy | Nuclear | Mission Critical

Walker & Sloan are working with an outstanding regional construction contractor to recruit an MEP Divisional Lead to oversee the delivery of a major portfolio of technically complex projects across the M4 Corridor.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced MEP leader to step into a high-impact strategic role within a growing business delivering large-scale mission-critical and infrastructure-led schemes across the data centre, energy, and nuclear sectors.

The position offers the opportunity to influence both project delivery and long-term business growth, while leading and developing a high-performing building services function across multiple live and upcoming projects.

    🏗️ The Role

As MEP Divisional Lead, you will take overall responsibility for the strategic leadership, coordination, and performance of the MEP function across a portfolio of flagship projects.

Working closely with senior operational, commercial, and pre-construction teams, you’ll drive consistency, technical excellence, and delivery performance across all building services activities from early-stage design through to commissioning and handover.

This is not a single-project role — you’ll operate across multiple complex schemes simultaneously, providing leadership, direction, and technical oversight to project teams throughout the region.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Leading the MEP strategy and delivery across multiple high-value projects

    * Managing and mentoring Building Services Managers, Project Managers, and wider technical teams

    * Driving programme certainty, quality standards, and commercial performance

    * Overseeing procurement strategies and supply-chain engagement across MEP packages

    * Supporting pre-construction, technical design reviews, and delivery planning

    * Acting as the senior stakeholder lead for clients, consultants, and specialist subcontractors

    * Ensuring best practice in design coordination, commissioning, and technical compliance

    * Supporting the continued growth and development of the regional MEP division

    * Identifying opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and improved project delivery

    ✅ Candidate Profile

    * Strong background within MEP or Building Services delivery for major construction projects

    * Previous experience operating at senior project, regional, or divisional leadership level

    * Proven track record delivering technically complex schemes within sectors such as data centres, energy, nuclear, or other mission-critical environments

    * Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple project teams simultaneously

    * Commercially astute with a strong understanding of programme, risk, and delivery strategy

    * Comfortable operating across both strategic leadership and technical delivery functions

    * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

    💰 What’s on Offer

    * Salary between £100,000 – £140,000 depending on experience

    * Executive-level package and bonus structure

    * Clear progression towards Director-level leadership

    * Opportunity to shape and influence a growing MEP division

    * Exposure to nationally significant, technically advanced projects

    * Long-term pipeline of secured work across the mission-critical and infrastructure sectors

    📩 Interested?

If you’re an experienced MEP leader looking to take ownership of a growing regional division delivering complex and high-profile technical projects, we’d like to hear from you.
