Cherry Professional is recruiting a Financial Controller for a manufacturing sector business with an established operational site in the Preston area. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen reporting, support decision-making, and drive site performance.
The role
Lead month-end close and deliver accurate, timely management reporting
Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear insight and recommendations
Provide business partnering across the site, highlighting risks and opportunities
Support capital spend tracking and investment-related reporting
Improve process, controls and management information
What we’re looking for
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, Part Qual or Qualified By Experience with strong, relevant experience
Solid experience in a site-based / operational finance role
Confident communicator with the credibility to influence stakeholders
Strong Excel and a proactive, improvement-led mindse
