How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Admissions Officer

    Admissions Officer Responsibilities

    This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

    Managing the application process from enquiry to acceptance, ensuring a smooth experience for applicants and their families. This aligns with the school's goal of attracting and welcoming talented students.
    Organising and delivering key event management activities such as open days and campus tours, showcasing the school's strengths in sports, arts, languages, and more.

    Maintaining and updating admissions databases and records to ensure accurate information is available for strategic decision-making.

    Admissions Officer Experience Essentials

    Proven experience as a senior administrator or in a customer-facing role within an educational setting, ideally an independent school.
    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse audience.
    IT literate, with experience in managing databases and CRM systems.
    Knowledge of school admissions processes is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
    Organised, flexible, and a team player, capable of managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
    Location

    This role is fully based on-site with excellent transport links and parking options on site. The position requires occasional Saturday mornings, evenings, and up to two Sundays per year, with appropriate time off in lieu.
