Position: Senior Social Worker - CYPS CCWDS
Hours: 37 per week
Location: North Suffolk Office bases (including Lowestoft and Saxmundham)
Flexible Working: Supported, with a minimum of 2 days office-based
Pay: £39 per hour via Umbrella
Role Overview:
This role involves working with children and families across a range of statutory duties, including:
Conducting assessments of need under Section 17 Children Act and developing/reviewing Child in Need (CIN) plans
Working closely with health and education colleagues, including under the CHC framework and Statutory SEND
Undertaking Section 47 enquiries and progressing to Child Protection as needed
Potential involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO), Private Law Section 7, and Section 37 cases
Supporting children who are Children in Care (CIC), including those living in residential settings
Assisting children with transitions to ASCThis is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic team, delivering high-quality social work and making a real difference to children's lives in Suffolk.
Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Registered with Social Work England
