How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Opportunity: Chemical Operator – UK

    Overview

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Operator to join a global chemical manufacturing company in the suffolk area.

    The chemical operator will be integral to supporting on site chemical manufacturing operations, focusing on the safe and efficient production, drying, and packaging of fine chemicals.

    Responsibilities

    As a Chemical Operator, you will:

    * Execute batch sheet processes to manufacture fine chemicals in compliance with safety and quality protocols.

    * Operate and monitor production equipment used in manufacturing, drying, and packaging processes.

    * Accurately document production activities, equipment status, and any incidents or deviations.

    * Maintain continuous awareness of production parameters, identifying and troubleshooting operational issues or deviations.

    * safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

    * Demonstrate flexibility to work extended hours as required to meet production demands.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    * A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.

    * Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

    * Familiarity with Office 365.

    * Understanding of hazards and safety protocols when working with potentially hazardous chemicals, atmospheres, and materials, including explosive environments.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * A degree in Chemistry or a related field.

    * 3-5 years of industrial experience in fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
