How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced electrician looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and people-focused organisation?
    A well-established property and housing provider is seeking qualified Electricians to join its maintenance and property services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work while contributing to the safety and upkeep of residential properties.
    About the Role
    The successful candidate will carry out a variety of electrical works across residential homes, including inspections, testing, fault finding, repairs, and planned maintenance.
    Key responsibilities include:
    * Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
    * Carrying out remedial works following inspections
    * Undertaking reactive and planned electrical maintenance
    * Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations
    * Working closely with other trades, supervisors, and support staff
    * Delivering excellent customer service to residents and tenants
    Requirements
    * Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent
    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
    * AM2 certification
    * City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent inspection and testing qualification)
    * Previous experience within domestic or residential maintenance
    * Strong communication and customer service skills
    * Full UK driving licence preferred
    The role includes participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota, as emergency maintenance support may occasionally be required.
