How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: SEN Tutor Core Subjects (Oldham)
    Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
    Pay Rate: GBP30 per hour (starting rate)
    Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week

    We are looking for an experienced SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one support for students in Oldham. This role is perfect for educators, teaching assistants, or tutors with experience supporting learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or those working below expected levels. If you are passionate about inclusive education and helping students thrive, we would love to hear from you.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition in GCSE Maths and English for SEN learners.
    Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual emotional, social, and academic needs.
    Support learners in developing core subject knowledge, study skills, and exam confidence.
    Create a safe, nurturing, and consistent learning environment that promotes engagement and progress.
    Track and report on student progress to parents, carers, or relevant professionals.

    Essential Requirements:

    Proven experience working with SEN learners in one-to-one or small group settings.
    Strong knowledge of strategies to support Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEN needs.
    Experience tutoring or teaching Maths and/or English.
    Right to work in the UK.
    Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

    Desirable:

    Teaching assistant or similar educational experience.
    Knowledge of differentiated learning and adaptive teaching techniques.
    Familiarity with GCSE curriculum and assessment strategies.
