How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    SEN Teacher
    Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
    Contract: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)
    Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
    About the Role
    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive school community in Huddersfield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
    You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching tailored to individual needs, creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment, and working closely with support staff, families, and external professionals.
    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual pupil needs
    Support pupils academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development
    Work collaboratively with SEN support staff, HLTAs, and therapists
    Contribute to EHCP reviews, assessments, and target setting
    Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
    Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Experience teaching pupils with SEN (school or specialist setting)
    Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour support
    A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
