Contract Precision Mechanical Assembler

Duration 6 months

Location: Fareham 

Various shift patterns available:

Days – Monday – Thursday & Early Finish Friday

Early Shift – 6am -2pm  Monday to Thursday. Friday 6am – 1:30 pm – 10% shift premium

Late Shift - 2pm – 11:45pm Mon – Thursday.  20 % shift

Rate  £18.05 per hour PAYE, Increasing to £18.68 after 12 weeks   O/T at a premium rate

Utilising your mechanical assembly skills experience you will be working on a range of precision products to fine tolerances

Key responsibilities will include:

Assembling components using hand tools and torque equipment
Read and interpret detailed technical drawings
Support quality, cost reduction and on‑time delivery targets
Work independently once trained while remaining a strong team player
Follow safe working practices 

To succeed you will have :

Previous experience of mechanical assembly (ideally on complex / precision products)
Ability to read / follow engineering drawings
Good levels of manual dexterity
Open to further training and being able to adapt
