How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A well-established residential developer, who are experiencing a period of sustained growth, is seeking a high-calibre Senior Site Manager with proven experience of timber frame construction, to deliver a large affordable housing scheme.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business delivering high-quality, affordable housing schemes in partnership with major housing associations, with a strong pipeline of secured work for the coming years.

    The Role

    As Senior Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery on the project. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to drive programme and performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee day-to-day site operations
    Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations
    Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
    Liaise closely with the client and their representatives
    Drive build programmes to meet deadlines and budget targets
    Maintain high standards of quality control and customer satisfaction
    Report progress to senior leadership and attend regular site meetings Requirements

    Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within residential construction
    Strong background in timber frame housing projects is essential
    Experience delivering affordable housing schemes
    Excellent leadership and communication skills
    Ability to manage multiple phases of construction effectively
