A friendly and nurturing nursery setting in HP9 is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within childcare and early years education.
About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will:
* Support children’s learning and development within the nursery environment
* Assist with play-based activities, story time, and creative learning sessions
* Help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children
* Support children with daily routines, including mealtimes and transitions
* Encourage children’s social, emotional, and communication development
* Work closely with senior staff to support the smooth running of the nursery
Requirements
* A genuine passion for working with young children
* Previous childcare, babysitting, nursery, or school experience desirable
* Caring, patient, and positive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years setting
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Right to Work in the UK – essential
Desirable
* Experience within a nursery, preschool, or EYFS environment
* Driver preferred due to location/travel
* Interest in pursuing a childcare qualification in the future
