How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    English Teacher

    Start Date: September 2026

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring English Teacher to join our successful and supportive English department from September 2026.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to a dynamic school community committed to high standards, inclusion, and student success.

    About the Role

    The successful candidate will:

    Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
    Inspire a love of literature, language, and critical thinking in students
    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners
    Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and intervention
    Contribute to curriculum development within the English department
    Support the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities

    About You

    We are looking for a teacher who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
    Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
    Is committed to raising achievement and closing attainment gaps
    Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a team
    Is reflective and committed to ongoing professional development
