How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    🚀 The Job Role
This is a full time role with site presence required, considering candidates within commuting distance or open to supported relocation. The role operates at the construction to commissioning interface on a major nuclear project. You will deliver hands-on commissioning of safety-classified instrumentation and control systems through to handover.

Support construction and installation readiness for safety-classified I&C systems
Review P&IDs, loop diagrams, datasheets, wiring and system documentation
Verify as-built instrumentation, cabling, tubing and impulse lines against approved design
Carry out and support inspection, calibration and loop readiness activities
Identify defects, incomplete works and deviations under configuration control
Execute loop checks, point-to-point testing and functional testing activities
Interface with DCS, PLC and protection systems validating alarms and safety functions
Support commissioning of pneumatic, hydraulic and motor-operated final elements
Track commissioning progress and report system status to the Commissioning Manager

    Qualifications

    🎓 Required Skills and Qualifications

Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further, we would strongly encourage you to apply.

Degree or HNC or HND in Instrumentation, Control or related discipline
Strong knowledge of process instrumentation and measurement principles
Hands-on experience calibrating industrial or safety-related instrumentation
Experience interfacing field instrumentation with DCS or PLC systems
Experience supporting commissioning of control valves and final elements
Understanding of calibration tolerances, acceptance criteria and traceability
Familiarity with commissioning work control, permits and quality processes
Experience in nuclear, power generation, oil & gas or heavy industrial environments
