How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Architect
    Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
    Salary: £42-47,000 (dependent on experience)

    An award-winning, RIBA-chartered architecture studio in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking a Senior Architect to join its growing team. The practice is known for its context-led, design-focused approach and delivers high-quality residential, cultural, and community projects across all RIBA stages. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Architect ready to step into a senior role, taking ownership of projects and contributing to both design leadership and technical delivery within a collaborative studio environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead projects through all RIBA stages (0 to 7), from concept to completion
    Manage and coordinate planning applications, design development, technical packages, and construction information
    Oversee site delivery, resolving design and technical issues as they arise
    Act as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring design intent and quality are maintained
    Contribute to internal design reviews, mentoring, and wider studio developmentRequirements:

    ARB registered Architect
    Significant post Part 3 experience within a UK architectural practice
    Proven experience leading projects or operating at a senior level
    Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality residential and/or community-focused work
    Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential
    Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and the planning process
    Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
