How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled LCV Technician in Barking
    Our client, a reputable employer in Barking, East London, is seeking a highly motivated LCV Technician to join their well-established workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified vehicle technician looking to specialise in light commercial vehicles within a supportive and professional environment.     * Competitive basic salary up to £38,760, with an OTE of £44,760
    * Performance-related bonuses, earning up to £600 per quarter
    * Monday to Friday working hours, 8am to 5.30pm, with Saturday mornings paid at 1.5 times the standard rate

    Duties of the LCV Technician:
    * Conducting repairs and servicing on light commercial vehicles and passenger cars

    * Diagnosing faults and conducting road tests post-repair to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
    * Completing service documentation and repair reports accurately
    * Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer standards and current safety regulations
    * Maintaining a clean, organised workshop environment to uphold high safety and quality standards
    Requirements of the LCV Technician:
    * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repairs
    * Proven experience working on vans and cars within a busy workshop environment
    * Full valid UK manual driving licence, with minimal points (please specify points)
    * Good understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
    * Proactive attitude with attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
