How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN English Teacher who is committed to supporting students with special educational needs?

    Reeson Education are seeking a skilled and empathetic SEN English Teacher to work in a supportive and inclusive school environment in Sheffield (S2). This role is ideal for a resilient and creative teacher who can adapt their teaching approach to meet the diverse needs of learners.

    About the SEN English Teacher Role:
    As an SEN English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in developing literacy skills, confidence, and communication abilities while creating a safe and structured learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities as SEN English Teacher:
    * Differentiated Teaching: Plan and deliver tailored English lessons that meet the individual needs of SEN students.
    * Literacy Development: Support pupils in developing reading, writing, and communication skills.
    * Behaviour Support: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support engagement and learning.
    * Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods where necessary.
    * Collaboration: Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic student development.

    To succeed as an SEN English Teacher, you will need:
    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    * Experience working with SEN students, ideally within a specialist or alternative provision setting.
    * Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
    * Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
    * An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
