How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant
    Sheffield
    Full-time / Part-time (Term Time)
    Competitive daily rate / salary (dependent on experience)
    We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Sheffield, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
    The Role
    As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to access learning, regulate emotions and develop confidence within the classroom.
    Your responsibilities will include:

    Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
    Implementing individual education and behaviour support plans
    Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
    Providing emotional support and promoting independence
    Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
    Working collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals
    Maintaining a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

    The Ideal Candidate
    We are looking for someone who:

    Has experience working with children with SEN/SEND (school, care or support setting)
    Is patient, resilient and enthusiastic
    Has strong communication and behaviour management skills
    Understands safeguarding and childsupport
    Can work effectively as part of a team and independently
    Holds relevant training (e.g. Safeguarding, SEND, Care or Education qualifications) desirable but not essential
