How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    CNC Programmer Milling
    Haas / Fanuc controls
    Precision Engineering Industry
    Day Shifts - Hertford - SG13
    Up to £42k per annum (based on experience)

    Are you a skilled CNC Miller with Haas or Fanuc-based programming experience? If yes, read on....

    My client is an established precision engineering manufacturer based in Hertford and commutable from Hatfield, Harlow, Stansted, Welwyn Garden City. Stevenage, Luton, Watford, Chelmsford, and Edmonton.

    They are currently looking for a skilled CNC Milling Programmer to join their team.

    The Role: CNC Programmer
    - Set, operate and program CNC Mills to produce specialised tools
    - Online program editing and programming from scratch
    - Adjusting offsets and making adjustments within programs
    - The day-to-day nature of the working environment requires various duties to be performed, including programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machines
    - Working on Fanuc-based controls 
    - Working from drawings
    - Quality control of components
    - Maintaining machinery, removing swarf and routine oiling/greasing etc
    - Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate
    - Complies with all Company rules including all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements

    Minimum Skills / Experience Required: CNC Miller
    - Experience of Setting, Operating and Programming CNC Haas Mills, or other Fanuc-based Mills
    - CNC Programming, or Program editing in G-Code
    - Experience with Precision Engineering and working to tight tolerances
    - Experience in the tool manufacturing industry would be desirable
    - Experience working from engineering drawings
    - Able to quality check own parts
    - Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high level of quality standards achieved
    - Motivated and excellent team player

    The Package: CNC Milling Programmer
    - Salary up to £42k, dependent on experience
    - Monday to Thursday 7am-3.30pm and Friday 7am-2.30pm
    - Pension
    - Up to 25 Days Holiday, plus Bank Holidays
