How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate Learning & Inclusion Mentor (SEND Focus)

    Location: Barking, London
    Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

    About the Role
    Are you a graduate eager to build a meaningful career in education, psychology, or child development? This is an exciting opportunity to step into a rewarding role where you’ll directly support young people with additional needs and play a key part in their academic and personal growth.
    We are working with a network of inclusive and forward-thinking primary and secondary schools in Barking, seeking motivated graduates to join as Learning & Inclusion Mentors. This role offers hands-on experience supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs in dynamic classroom settings.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
    Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons
    Helping create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
    Supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development
    Monitoring progress and contributing to student support plans
    Encouraging confidence, independence, and active participationWho We’re Looking For

    A graduate (Arts, Psychology, Education, or Science backgrounds welcome)
    Experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, care, coaching, etc.)
    Strong communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach
    Calm, patient, and adaptable under pressure
    A genuine interest in SEND, education, or child development
    Teaching Assistant qualifications are a bonus, but not essentialWhy This Role?
