Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Fire & Security)
Location: Essex
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 42.5 per week
Salary: £38,481 (inclusive of standby)
Overview
An established facilities and engineering services provider is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support maintenance and repair on commercial sites. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing team with strong long-term contracts and progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on fire and security systems
* Maintain and service CCTV (IP and analogue) and fire alarm systems
* Ensure all work is completed in line with service level agreements and performance targets
* Respond to service requests and fault calls within agreed timeframes
* Accurately complete job reports and documentation
* Identify recurring issues and recommend appropriate solutions
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory requirements
Requirements
Essential:
* Electrical qualification (NVQ or City & Guilds)
* Experience with CCTV systems (IP and/or analogue)
* Experience with fire alarm systems
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable:
* IPAF licence (or willingness to obtain)
