How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Vehicle Technician

    Location: Liverpool

    Salary: £34,000 basic | OTE £40,000

    Richard Abson Group is currently assisting a reputable main car dealership in Liverpool in their search for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to work in a professional and well-equipped workshop, as part of a dynamic team of 12 Technicians.

    As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

    • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines.

    • Working efficiently to achieve individual and team targets.

    • Providing excellent service and technical expertise.

    Ideal Vehicle Technician Candidate Will Have:

    • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in a main dealership, fast-fit centre, or similar automotive environment.

    • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).

    • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to quality work.

    • Vehicle Technician Salary & Benefits:

    • Basic salary up to £34,000

    • On-target earnings of £40,000+

    • Overtime opportunities available

    • Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
