How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading boiler manufacturers.

    They have a vacancy for a qualified domestic gas engineer located in the SO postcode to join their team on a full-time basis carrying out servicing and repairs on their range of boilers.

    Duties:

    * Annual servicing

    * Attending breakdown callouts

    * Consistently delivering an excellent level of customer service

    * Working towards KPIs and supporting the field sales initiatives

    * Following all company procedures and processes

    Requirements:

    * Gas qualifications held for a minimum of 5 years.

    * Extensive fault-finding and boiler breakdown experience.

    * Good first-time fix rate with excellent diagnostic skills

    * Willing to meet deadlines and work to targets.

    * Basic electrical knowledge and experience using a multimeter.

    * Hold domestic ACS: CCN1 and CENWAT as a minimum.

    Salary & Package

    * Starting salary: £48,106 per annum

    * No out-of-hours call-out rota.

    * Company bonus scheme based on engineer efficiency & overtime – paid monthly on top of salary.

    * OTE £60,000+ per annum

    * Van (with private use) & fuel card

    * Van fully restocked from home address.
