How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Our Client

    Our Client is a specialist water and wastewater process technology and services company within the group who design, build and operate water and wastewater plants for the treatment of municipal sewage and industrial effluent in the UK and Ireland.

    Job Title

    Fabricator/Welder

    Purpose

    Working Fabricator Welder in workshop.
    The focus of work in the workshop is Pipework, this will include anything from ¼ "- 24", any pipe spool or manifold of a substantial size may need to be assembled in the Crane shop with use of the crane, You will need to be able to maintain Pipe welding standards of Purge welding of clean products and sewerage which does not require Purging.
    The focus of work in the Crane shop is Tanks, this will include, HSAF, PCF, FLOC, Inlet and Splitter Tanks. Large structures and other scopes of work which will require the use of overhead crane will be fabricated in High Bay.
    You will work alongside Workshop Team Leader, Site Team Leader and other Fabricators.
    Other scopes of work which the Workshops will receive are Air grids of tanks, Sieves, Framework, and all other bracketry.
    To liaise with the Workshop Manager and or Project Engineer to control and organise the activities of the workshop, yard, and site activities.
    Maintain efficiency(productivity) at levels agreed with Workshop Manager and Project Engineer.
    Ensure safe working practices and operating

    Overview of Role

    Working Fabricator Welder based in the workshop. Will be required to fabricate, weld and clean a variety of products to a high standard. You are required to be in your overalls ready to start work and attend morning briefings at 07:00. You will receive drawings and or instructions from Workshop Manager or Workshop Team Leaders.

    Key Responsibilities/ Requirements

    Workshop Supervision

    ·Work alongside Site Team Leaders, Workshop Team Leaders and Fabricators to manage the day-to-day running of the fabrication facility and Yard at shop floor level along with the organization and distribution work.

    You will be required to assist that the daily checks are carried out on Overhead Crane and Forklift.

    · You will be required to make sure your lifting equipment is collated and available for 6 monthly LOLER checks to be carried out and power tools are readily available for 6 monthly PAT Tests are carried out

    ·· Quality checks must be carried out on each job at a tacked stage and a final stage. The checks system will be created and scheduled by Workshop Manager and will be carried out by Workshop Team Leaders.

    · Make sure that the Workshops and the Yard are a safe and tidy place to work.

    · Housekeeping - Ensure that everyone must clear up as they go and to make sure their working area is left in a safe manner.

    · ensure that all PPE is being correctly stored and maintained by Fabricators/ Welders in the Workshop. And al Site Fitters in the yard.

    · LEV systems must be used when welding processes are carried out.

    Reporting

    Welder Fabricators will report directly to the Team Leaders.
    Welder Fabricators will receive instructions from the Site Team Leaders and Workshop Team Leaders.
    H&S Manager and QESH team for Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety.
    Fitter Fabricator will be required to give feedback and updates on on-going jobs to Workshop Team Leaders and Site team Leaders.

    Qualifications & Experience Required

    · City & Guilds / Apprenticeship or NVQ in fabrication / welding or Mechanical Engineering (Essential)

    · Strong written and oral communication skills.

    · Must be able to read and understand engineering and isometric drawings, have experience in welding and fabrication and be familiar with piping standards and specifications.

    · Working knowledge of specifications and procedures for the water industry, would be an advantage.

    · Excellent communication skills and must be able to lead and work as part of a team.

    · Experience within an ISO9001 organization, maintaining the high standards and quality of information required.

    · Experience with or knowledge of BS EN 1090 (CE Marking)

    · Strong attention to detail.
