How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We’re recruiting Production Operatives to join a well-established food manufacturing business in North Yorkshire, known for producing high-quality products. 

    This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and have strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

    What you’ll be doing as Production Operative

    Working on a production line preparing and assembling food products
    Carrying out detailed handling and packing tasks requiring precision
    Ensuring products meet quality and presentation standards
    Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
    Working efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
    Maintaining a clean and organised work area
    What we’re looking for in a Production Operative

    Good hand–eye coordination and dexterity (essential for detailed work)
    Ability to carry out repetitive, precise tasks at pace
    Previous experience in production, food manufacturing, or warehouse environments (preferred but not essential)
    Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
    Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
    Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
    Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Thursday
    Shift Pattern: 4 shifts on (Mon–Thu), Friday, Saturday & Sunday off
