The Role
We are looking for a driven and energetic Business Development Manager to join our team in a role focused primarily on new business generation, alongside growing existing customer accounts. This is roughly a 70/30 split between winning new customers and developing current accounts. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships, managing inbound enquiries, and converting opportunities into long-term business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys opening doors, building rapport, and closing deals while working within a supportive and ambitious team environment. Unlike many sales roles, this is not purely a cold-start position. You’ll benefit from inbound leads, established accounts, and a well-respected brand within the market — giving you a strong platform to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
· Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity
· Build and manage long-term customer relationships
· Grow revenue across existing accounts through upselling and account development
· Handle inbound enquiries and convert opportunities into sales
· Maintain and manage pipeline activity through CRM systems (ideally HubSpot)
· Work closely with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service
· Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a real passion for sales and the energy to help drive the business forward.
· Have proven sales experience within a BDM, Sales Executive, or Account Management role
· Be confident winning new business and closing deals
· Have strong relationship-building and communication skills
· Be proactive, commercially aware, and target-driven
· Bring positivity, enthusiasm, and energy to the sales floor
· Be organised and comfortable managing pipelines through CRM systems
· Ideally have experience within construction, tool hire, container sales, or a related industry
· Ideally have experience using HubSpot CRM
What We Offer
· £35,000–£40,000 basic salary
· Uncapped commission structure
· Realistic OTE of £50,000+
