How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An established and growing Building Services company is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Electrical Engineer to join its specialist M&E maintenance team operating across London, Greater London, and the South of England.

    Established in 2003, the business provides technical Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) building services support to the commercial property maintenance sector, working with a wide range of commercial and government clients.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking a varied role within a professional, close-knit team environment.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical maintenance, installation, inspection, and fault-finding duties across commercial properties.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Emergency lighting testing

    * Power circuit installations

    * Controls and BMS works

    * Electrical fault finding

    * Planned maintenance inspections

    * Service and installation works

    * Supporting wider building services maintenance activities

    Skills & Experience Required

    * Minimum Level 3 qualified Electrician

    * Minimum 5 years’ industry experience

    * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

    * Experience working within commercial building services environments

    * Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical building systems

    * Controls/BMS experience advantageous

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a small mobile engineering team

    * Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative

    * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    * Flexible approach to work and duties

    * Keen to further develop technical skills
