This is a physically active role and candidates must be comfortable with both driving and loading duties. This is not a pure driving role. Drivers are expected to support the collection crew throughout the day and assist with waste and recycling collections where required.
The Role
Working as part of a collection team, you will be responsible for the safe collection of household and commercial waste and recycling materials across the local area.
Duties include:

Driving Class 2 refuse and recycling collection vehicles
*
Assisting with loading duties throughout the shift
*
Working alongside loaders and operational teams
*
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
*
Following planned collection routes
*
Ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently
*
Maintaining high standards of customer service
*
Working outdoors in all weather conditions
*
Following all health and safety procedures
Requirements
*
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
*
Valid CPC Qualification
*
Digital Tachograph Card
*
Previous Class 2 driving experience
*
Physically fit and comfortable undertaking loading duties
*
Reliable and punctual
*
Good communication skills
*
Strong health and safety awareness
Working Hours

Monday to Friday
*
Start times between 05:00 and 07:00
