How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Immigration Solicitor (2-3 years PQE+)

    Locations: Central London & East London

    A well-established and expanding London-based law firm is seeking two ambitious and knowledgeable Immigration Solicitors to join its growing team, with opportunities available in both its Central London and East London offices.

    This is an excellent opportunity for solicitors with 2-3 years' PQE and strong experience in both personal and general immigration matters to further develop their careers within a supportive, professional, and forward-thinking firm.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Managing a varied caseload of immigration matters independently from instruction through to completion
    Advising clients on a broad range of personal immigration matters, including:
    Spouse and partner visas
    Family visas
    Indefinite Leave to Remain applications
    British citizenship and naturalisation applications
    Student and visitor visas
    Appeals and administrative reviews

    Handling general immigration matters, including:

    Skilled Worker visa applications
    Sponsor licence applications and compliance
    Business immigration matters
    Drafting legal documents, applications, and representations
    Liaising with the Home Office, Counsel, and third parties where required
    Providing excellent client care and maintaining strong professional relationships
    Ensuring compliance with SRA and firm regulatory requirements

    Requirements:

    Qualified Solicitor with 2-3 years' PQE in immigration law
    Strong experience in both personal and general immigration matters is essential
    Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
    Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills
    Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
    Professional, client-focused, and commercially aware approach
