How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An extraordinary SEND School in Moseley require a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join their exceptionally talented team.
    The school is based in the Moseley area of South Birmingham and specialise in supporting individuals with a lead diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). They are an all-age school catering to individuals with complex needs; behaviour that challenges, non-verbal communication and sensory processing needs.
    The successful candidate will be based within the secondary department (KS 3 and 4) working with individuals aged 11 to 16 years. Working with individuals of this age bracket can have it’s very challenging moments but this is what makes the role all the more rewarding. Surrounded by dedicated, knowledgeable, skilled and supportive staff (TAs, Teachers and SLT) you’ll be inspired on a daily basis.

    Key Responsibilities
    Working on a 1:1 and small group basis with young people aged 11–16 years with lead diagnosis of Autism (ASC) and complex needs including behaviour that challenges, non-verbal communication and sensory processing needs
    Support pupils to engage with learning activities using approaches tailored to their individual needs
    Lone-working within the classroom and other areas of the school, following the child or group’s timetable
    Following the school’s behaviour management policy and individual’s behaviour plans and Individual Education Plans (IEP)

    Person Requirements
    Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, or an equivalent is a relatable field of work such as Health and Social Care
    Experience of working with young people with a lead diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    Experience of supporting individuals with non-verbal communication and sensory processing needs as well as displaying behaviour that challenges
    Flexible and adaptable to the needs and requirements of individuals with SEND needs
    Flexible and adaptable to the needs and requirements of a SEND school
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    Highly motivated when lone-working and working as a team
    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or we can put one in place for you)
    Two satisfactory references covering a minimum of 12 months
