How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR AN ELECTRONICS ENGINEER – PRODUCTION ENGINEERING JOB IN CAMBRIDGE

    A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering in Cambridge (Waterbeach) with a leading high-technology organisation developing advanced thermal imaging, night vision, and augmented reality systems. This Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering job in Cambridge offers the chance to join a newly formed NPI team focused on taking complex electronic products from R&D into scalable manufacturing.

    The successful Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering in Cambridge will work across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure electronic designs are fully production-ready. This Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering role in Cambridge will focus on PCB design support, manufacturability improvements, and the development of production test solutions for advanced electronic systems.

    Key responsibilities for the Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering job in Cambridge include:

    • Supporting the transition of products from prototype into volume manufacture
    • Working with R&D to improve PCB design for manufacturability and testability
    • Supporting PCB assembly, integration, and electronic fault finding
    • Developing and improving automated production test equipment and fixtures
    • Supporting NPI builds, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution
    • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and manufacturing processes
    • Working closely with suppliers, production, and engineering teams

    To be considered for this Electronics Engineer – Production Engineering opportunity in Cambridge, you will need:

    • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
    • Proven experience using Altium for PCB design and layout
    • Strong experience with PCB assembly, integration, and electronics manufacturing
    • Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT principles
    • Experience supporting products through NPI and into production
    • Strong fault-finding skills at board and system level
    • Understanding of ISO9001 or similar quality systems

    Experience with automated test equipment, microcontrollers, LabVIEW, C/C++, or military-standard product development would be advantageous.
