How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Suspension Engineer (Suspension and Axle) - (phone number removed) - £28.53/hr (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)

With a competitive umbrella rate of £28.53 per hour, this role promises a rewarding experience for those with a passion for suspension systems and axle integration.

    What You Will Do:

    - Support the development of axle CAD concepts and integrate corner modules and axle links into subframes and the rest of the vehicle.

    - Respond to work requests and follow technical direction to ensure programme deliverables are met.

    - Create suspension layout studies, check packaging, and consider kinematics, dynamic envelopes, compliance, tuning, and component variability.

    - Generate suspension hard point datasheets for release and cascade information to relevant areas.

    - Complete the Design Verification Plan (DVP) for suspension assemblies using CAD as the validation tool.

    - Collaborate with various departments to ensure best practices are incorporated into concept studies.

    What You Will Bring:

    - Proficiency in Catia v5 or Catia v6 (Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE) software.

    - Solid understanding of suspension design fundamentals.

    - Strong organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.

    - Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adopt new methods to enhance team effectiveness.

    - A mechanical engineering degree (MEng, BEng, MSc, or BSc) or equivalent qualification.
