How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Construction Trainer (Train into Teaching)

    £32,500 - £37,500 + Full Training into Teaching + 34 Days Holiday + Enhanced Pension + Life Assurance + Benefits

    Site based, commutable from South-East London: Streatham, Thornton Heath, Beckenham, Croydon, Morden, Brixton and surrounding areas.

The organisation is committed to creating positive outcomes for learners through practical, engaging education and tailored support, helping individuals overcome barriers and realise their potential.

    You'll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team delivering study programmes to small classes of learners, you'll deliver hands-on training across a range of construction disciplines including plastering, tiling, and painting & decorating, while also supporting learners with workplace behaviours, confidence building, and progression into further training or employment.

    This is an ideal opportunity for either an experienced construction tutor or someone from industry looking to move into education and make a meaningful difference through their work.

    The Role:
    * Deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions across a range of construction trades
    * Teach skills including plastering, tiling, painting & decorating and general multi-trade activities
    * Monitor learner progress, attendance, achievement and progression outcomes
    * Maintain a safe, organised and positive workshop environment promoting excellent health & safety standards

    The Person:
    * Background within construction or multi-trades with experience in areas such as plastering, tiling or painting & decorating
    * Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction discipline
    * Experience teaching or supporting young people within education, training or vocational settings advantageous
