How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sports Coach

    Wirral
    £93 – £115 per day | Weekly Pay | Temp-to-Perm

    The Youth Education Service (YES) is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN School / Alternative Provision for a Sports Coach to support KS2-KS4 pupils with behavioural, emotional, and mental health needs.

    This role is ideal for Sports Coaches, Behaviour Mentors, Youth Workers, or aspiring PE Teachers who want to use sport as a tool to engage, motivate, and positively influence young people facing barriers to mainstream education.

    Working with small groups of students, you will deliver structured sports sessions, promote resilience and teamwork, and help pupils regulate behaviour through physical activity and positive mentoring.

    The Role:

    * Deliver engaging and inclusive sports/physical activity sessions to students

    * Use sport as a tool for behaviour regulation, engagement, and relationship building

    * Support pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviours both in and out of lessons

    * Act as a positive role model, mentor, and consistent adult presence

    * Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support student progress

    * Promote physical wellbeing, teamwork, discipline, and confidence

    * Maintain high expectations of behaviour, engagement, and effort

    * Follow all safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety policies

    Ideal Candidate:

    * Experience coaching sports or working with young people in education/youth settings

    * Confident managing challenging behaviour and building rapport quickly

    * Passion for supporting vulnerable/disengaged young people

    * Resilient, energetic, and adaptable approach

    * Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
