How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Supplier Quality Engineer 

    Salary: Dependent on experience 

    Location: Coventry 

    Contract: Permanent 

    Role will involve travel to supplier sites, and international travel too. 

    Role Summary 

    This Supplier Quality Engineer role is responsible for developing and maintaining quality conformance and continuous improvement across the full supply chain, from suppliers through to customer delivery. The position supports internal and external quality processes, works closely with value stream leadership, and acts as a key interface between suppliers, customers, internal teams, and operational stakeholders. The successful Supplier Quality Engineer will be expected to interpret customer requirements, support zero defect objectives, and drive supplier quality performance in a complex aerospace environment. 

    Role & Responsibilities 

    Provide quality support across the supply chain and internal value streams. 

    Lead supplier performance improvement activities and support supplier management processes. 

    Roll out and support Zero Defect initiatives with key suppliers to reduce DPPM. 

    Execute supplier audits in line with supplier performance assessment plans. 

    Ensure effective containment actions are implemented and drive root cause and corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D. 

    Review First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102 requirements. 

    Work closely with internal departments to ensure supplier compliance evidence is available against AS9100 requirements. 

    Govern key business metrics that demonstrate compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. 

    Support prompt corrective and preventative action relating to non-conforming product and external audit actions. 

    Analyse non-conformance data and recommend supplier and process improvement actions. 

    Support supplier activity linked to source transfer programmes. 

    Support account reviews alongside relevant buying functions. 

    The Supplier Quality Engineer will work with APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, calibration systems, and root cause analysis tools. 

    Travel to supplier and customer sites across EMEA as required. 

    Requirements of the Role 

    Strong quality background within aerospace manufacturing or engineering environments. 

    Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102. 

    Understanding of ISO 9001, EASA Part 21 Subpart G, and EASA Part 145. 

    Experience in aerospace supplier quality assurance and supplier development engineering. 

    Experience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier development activity. 

    Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. 

    SAP or similar MRP system experience. 

    Proficiency in PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and root cause analysis. 

    Familiarity with aerospace OE / Part 21 quality requirements.
