How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Finance Data Analyst

    Travail Employment Group is delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Data Analyst /Financial Business Analyst/Finance Analyst on behalf of a long‑established, global technology organisation known for innovation, people‑centric design and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

    The role will be based at their new Hemel Hempstead offices offering Hybrid working ( 3 days office based) . CAndidates must therefore live within a reasonable commutable distance of the HP2 postcode area

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants genuine exposure, development and the chance to make an impact.

    As the Financial Business Analyst/ Data Analyst , you will support Finance and Commercial teams across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) providing high‑quality reporting, analysis and insight. Your work will directly contribute to forecasting, budgeting, month‑end activities and commercial decision‑making.

    Key responsibilities of the Finance Data Analyst /Financial Business Analyst/Finance Analyst include:

    Supporting EMEA Finance and Commercial teams with regular reporting and analysis
    Assisting with monthly forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
    Building and maintaining financial models, trackers and dashboards (primarily in Excel)
    Supporting month‑end with actuals vs plan/forecast analysis and commentary
    Extracting, reconciling and validating data from systems such as Oracle
    Preparing KPI packs and performance reporting for stakeholders
    Partnering with Finance, Sales and Operations teams
    Contributing to process improvements and strengthening reporting controls

    As a Finance Data Analyst /Financial Business Analyst/Finance Analyst you will:

    Build Translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance audiences
    Using Excel( Pivot tables) Business Objects, Power BI, Hyperion and Oracle to enhance reporting
    Investigating anomalies, escalating issues and proposing solutions
    Following finance policies and internal controls
    Continuously developing your systems and commercial knowledge
    ideally have strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
    Be a Confident communicator able to explain numbers clearly
    Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, charts)
    Understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cost centres and accruals - or a desire to learn
    Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast‑paced environmentYour previous background will have :

    A Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics or similar
    Have some early experience in a finance/analyst role (internship, placement, graduate scheme or 1-2 years' working experience)
    Knowledge of working with data sets and producing accurate reports
    Exposure to budgeting/forecasting or month‑end activities is beneficial
    Comfortable using finance systems/ERPs (Oracle experience is an advantage)
