The Opportunity
Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Service – All Age Commissioning to provide immediate leadership cover following the departure of the substantive postholder.
This is a critical, high-impact role where you’ll ensure continuity of service delivery while maintaining strategic oversight across commissioning activity during a key transition period.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction across all-age commissioning services
* Maintain performance and continuity of delivery during organisational change
* Lead priority programmes, including supported living and commissioning frameworks
* Support and develop a team building confidence post-restructure
* Set clear priorities and drive delivery across commissioning functions
About You
* Proven leadership experience in adult social care commissioning
* Strong understanding of all-age commissioning models and frameworks
* Experience leading teams through change, restructure, or transition
* Ability to quickly establish credibility with stakeholders
* A practical, delivery-focused leadership style

£500.00 - £700.00 per day
