How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HVAC Maintenance Manager – Newcastle Upon Tyne

    Salary: £57,000
    Contract: Permanent
    Location: North East

    Our client is a rapidly growing national facilities management business operating across four UK offices, with headquarters based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Due to continued contract wins and nationwide expansion, they are now seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Manager to oversee and lead their growing HVAC division.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong HVAC professional looking to step into a senior management role within a stable and expanding organisation that genuinely invests in employee development, long-term progression, and technical upskilling.

    No two days are the same within this business, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects and contracts nationwide.

    Key Responsibilities
    Oversee and manage nationwide HVAC maintenance operations across multiple client sites
    Supervise maintenance schedules, reactive works, quotations, and tender submissions
    Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes
    Lead fault finding, repairs, and HVAC system upgrades
    Manage engineers and technical teams, ensuring high standards of delivery and compliance
    Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and PLC control systems
    Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
    Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
    Produce reports and maintain accurate maintenance documentationCandidate Requirements
    Proven experience within HVAC maintenance management or supervisory roles
    Strong technical background in HVAC and air conditioning systems
    Experience managing engineers and technical teams across multiple sites
    Ability to read electrical schematics and understand PLC systems
    Strong organisational and project management skills
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
