How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a leading international renewable energy business committed to sustainable energy solutions, innovation, and employee development to recruit a Sales Manager with onshore wind for the Northern Europe region.

    The strategically important Sales Manager role comes with a salary between £65,000- £80,000, bonus scheme, pension, flexible working arrangements, and excellent long term career development opportunities within a global renewable energy organisation.

    Responsibilities and duties of the Sales Manager role

    Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will:

    Develop and deliver the regional sales strategy for Wind Operations & Maintenance services across Northern Europe.
    Identify and secure new business opportunities with wind farm owners, operators, and developers.
    Lead commercial negotiations for long-term maintenance agreements, corrective service contracts, and performance optimisation solutions.
    Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the renewable energy industry.
    Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and bid management teams to ensure service solutions align with customer requirements.
    Prepare and present tailored technical and commercial proposals to prospective clients
    Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments within the Northern European wind sector.
    Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and customer engagement records for senior management review.Professional qualifications

    We are looking for someone with the following:

    5+ years' sales or business development experience within the wind energy sector.
    Proven background selling O&M services in renewable energy
    Strong knowledge of wind turbine technology, maintenance, and performance optimisation.
    Experience negotiating commercial agreements with wind farm owners and operators.
    Degree qualified in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or similar.
    Northern European languages are advantageous.
    Understanding of Northern European renewable energy markets and regulations.
    Familiarity with digital monitoring and reporting platforms within wind operations is desirable.Personal skills
