Your new role
As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Business Partner, you will play a key role in driving and embedding a high-performing safety, health, wellbeing and environmental culture across a geographically diverse operation.
Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you will influence decision-making, provide expert advice and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. You will contribute both strategically and operationally, supporting the delivery of key initiatives, continuous improvement programmes and transformation projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Partnering with leadership teams to align EHS strategy with business objectives
Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and recognised standards such as ISO 45001
Leading risk management activities, including risk assessments and safe systems of work
Monitoring performance and producing insightful reports to drive improvement
Supporting audits, certifications and regulatory obligations
Leading incident investigations and emergency preparedness activities
Coaching leaders to build capability and accountability in EHS practices
Collaborating cross-functionally on wellbeing, occupational health and sustainability initiatives
This is a field-basedrole with travel across the UK.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and compliance frameworks
Proven experience in a senior EHS role within a complex or operational environment
Experience managing EHS systems and standards (e.g. ISO 45001)
Strong risk assessment and incident investigation capabilities
The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills
Strong analytical and reporting abilities
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travelDesirable:
IOSH membership (or working towards)
Experience with ISO audits, ESG frameworks or environmental compliance
Internal or external auditing experience
