How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Data Analyst

    Nottingham

    £40,620 - £45,726 per annum

Are you a Senior Data Analyst who wants your insights to genuinely improve services and customer outcomes?

At NCHA, data isn’t just reporting, it’s how we improve performance, shape services, and deliver better homes for our customers. As our next Senior Data Analyst, you’ll use your expertise in SQL, Power BI and data analytics to drive smarter decisions across the organisation.

If you’re passionate about turning complex data into meaningful insight and influencing real change, this could be the role for you.

    About the role

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll take a business partnering approach, working closely with stakeholders to understand needs, design impactful reporting, and deliver insight that drives decision-making.

You’ll play a key role in developing performance reporting frameworks, dashboards, and data quality standards, while supporting the evolution of our data warehouse and business intelligence capability.

    What you’ll be doing

    * Driving improvements in performance reporting - designing and enhancing frameworks, dashboards and reports to support operational and strategic decision making

    * Producing high-quality regulatory and benchmarking returns, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and audit-ready

    * Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions, underpinned by strong SQL data extraction and transformation

    * Working closely with business teams to deliver customer-focused insight that supports service improvement

    * Driving data quality improvements, working with business leads to strengthen validation, governance and accountability

    * Translating complex datasets into clear, meaningful insight for customers

    * Supporting the development of data warehouse, BI tooling and reporting infrastructure

    * Managing and developing analysts within the team and deputising for the Information & Intelligence Manager where required.

    What you’ll bring

    Technical skills

    * Strong experience delivering management information, reporting and analytics

    * Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with Power BI and Excel

    * Experience working with or developing data warehouse technologies

    * Strong analytical capability - confident working with large datasets to identify trends and insights and problem solving

    Skills & approach

    * You simplify complex data into clear, actionable insight

    * You build strong relationships and confidently influence stakeholders

    * You take a proactive approach - identifying opportunities and driving improvements end-to-end

    * You maintain high attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight deadlines, particularly for regulatory reporting

You’ll be innovative and willing to challenge how things are done, bringing energy, drive and a strong focus on making a real impact. You are also committed to NCHA’s values of Caring, Learning, Enthusiastic, Accountable and Resilient, and demonstrate these in how you work and collaborate with others.

    Why join NCHA?

At NCHA, you’ll have the opportunity to use your data expertise to drive real decisions and improve customer outcomes, while playing a key role in shaping our data and analytics strategy. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment, where you can influence how services are delivered across the organisation, alongside access to a competitive benefits package.

    Ready to apply?

If you’re passionate about using data to improve performance and deliver meaningful outcomes for customers, we’d love to hear from you.

Interviews will be taking place at our head office in Clifton on Friday 26th June 2026
