Major AMP8 Water Infrastructure Projects | Full-Time
A leading Tier 1 engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a major long-term water infrastructure framework across the North West and Cumbria.
Working as part of one of the UK's largest AMP8 programmes, you will play a key role in delivering complex water and wastewater projects ranging from £10m to £600m in value. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative alliance environment, working alongside client teams, delivery partners and specialist supply chain organisations to improve critical water infrastructure for millions of customers.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of either a major capital project or a portfolio of smaller schemes, managing projects throughout their full lifecycle from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover.
You will provide leadership to multidisciplinary project teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop and manage multidisciplinary project teams across design, construction and commissioning phases.
Take full ownership of project delivery from concept through to handover.
Drive a positive safety culture, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing across all project activities.
Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and performance to achieve successful outcomes.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, delivery partners and supply chain organisations.
Ensure supply chain partners operate in line with framework requirements and project objectives.
Challenge project scope and identify efficient delivery solutions that maximise value and performance.
Provide accurate and consistent reporting on project progress, risks, opportunities and key milestones.
Identify, manage and mitigate project and programme risks at the earliest opportunity.
Foster collaboration across the wider programme and alliance environment to ensure successful project outcomes.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure or water sector projects.
Essential Experience
Previous experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects.
Strong background in the delivery of civil engineering and MEICA projects.
Demonstrable experience delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget.
Sound understanding of construction contracts and commercial management principles.
Experience building trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Competent user of project management and planning software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office applications

£475.00 - £550.00 per day
