How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Registered Manager- Children's Home

    We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead and manage a 1-bed solo placement children’s residential home in Loughborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and quality care practices while creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the young person.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the home

    *

    Lead and manage the daily operations of the children’s home

    *

    Ensure high standards of care in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards

    *

    Promote positive outcomes and development for the young person

    *

    Develop, support, and supervise staff to maintain excellent practice standards

    *

    Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are effectively implemented

    *

    Manage care planning, risk assessments, and placement plans

    *

    Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance

    *

    Build effective relationships with external professionals, local authorities, and families

    *

    Drive continuous improvement within the service

    Essential Requirements

    *

    Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

    *

    Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential services

    *

    Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards

    *

    Proven experience managing children with emotional and behavioural difficulties

    *

    Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

    *

    Ability to lead a solo placement home effectively

    *

    Full UK driving licence

    Desirable

    *

    Experience managing solo or therapeutic placements

    *

    Track record of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes

    *

    Strong understanding of trauma-informed care
