How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an enthusiastic and motivated primary teacher ready to take on the challenge of Year 6 this September? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils through their final year of primary school in a supportive Oldham setting? If so, this opportunity could be perfect for you.

    Tradewind are currently recruiting for a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Oldham on a full-time basis from September.

    You will be responsible for leading a Year 6 class for the full academic year, preparing pupils for SATs while ensuring a balanced, engaging curriculum that supports both academic progress and pupil wellbeing. The school prides itself on its strong community ethos, supportive leadership team, and commitment to helping pupils transition confidently into secondary education. Staff benefit from excellent resources, collaborative planning, and a positive working environment.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Proven experience teaching within KS2, ideally with exposure to Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2
    A strong understanding of SATs preparation and the Year 6 curriculum
    Confidence in delivering engaging lessons across core subjects, particularly English and Maths (experience with schemes such as White Rose Maths is desirable)
    A positive and inclusive teaching style, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
    Effective behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain a focused, productive classroom environment
    Experience differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
    Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively during a key assessment yearEssential requirements:

    QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
    Recent KS2 teaching experience supported by strong references
    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
